The real benefits of residual income (it’s not just about the money)

I’ve been coaching business owners and consulting with large businesses for more than 10 years and it’s been one of my best career choices.

However, there is one constant pressure…..

If you are in a service based business that relies on you to deliver, then, you know you have to show up – all the time!

At some stage (and I’ve seen this with many business owners) we reach a point where there has to be a better way or we feel exhausted and burned out.

I looked at the alternatives to leveraging my resources and income, such as passive income products and group programmes, however, they still involve a lot of personal time.

I was beginning to feel disillusioned about what to do next..

So I decided to explore another route, which I had previously disregarded – creating residual income by partnering with a health and wellbeing company.

Despite my previous huge misgivings, amazingly, it has worked!

But, most importantly, this is what I’ve discovered are the real benefits, as well as the additional income…

  • Working with a supportive, friendly team with similar interests and vision (family and friends don’t always understand what drives us!).
  • Developing myself personally everyday single day – there are lots of resources, ideas and information available.
  • Learning from other’s experiences very quickly – no wasting time trying to figure it out.  It’s been tried and tested before so you get to where you are going faster.
  • Having a peer group around who genuinely want you to succeed.
  • Collaborating on projects and events together – much more fun and less time consuming when you have common goals.
  • Focusing on a personal interest area I feel passionate about which is health and wellbeing – I learn while I do business.
  • Getting to know a wider circle of people, internationally, who I may never have connected with before.
  • Being able to leverage everything I’ve done in the past to achieve results.  It’s all been worth it!

Of course, it does require hard work and commitment to develop residual income but this is off set by the other, perhaps, less tangible benefits.

Now, rather than feeling ‘off course’ with my work, I am much more focused, understand my bigger why and have regained my energy and enthusiasm for my work and my life.
