When I’m stressed I reach for these…

Many of us are experiencing increasingly busy and stressful lives leading to overwhelm, worry, anxiety and sleepless nights.

Overtime if stress becomes chronic it can have a negative impact on our health and wellbeing, potentially resulting in tiredness and overwhelm, depression, back pain, fatigue, digestive issues, headaches and more.  If you are a business owner you will know how important it is to look after your health and wellbeing.

Essential oils are an excellent support for effectively reprogramming the stress response on a chemical level.

For example, the chemical compounds in citrus oils, when inhaled, help cells return to their normal state.

Any method of application can be successful…

Aromatic: Diffuse your favourite oils, inhale from the bottle or your hands, apply a few drops to clothing or apply under your nose.

Topical: apply to tense or tired muscles on back, shoulders, neck, legs or anywhere stress is affecting the body.  Consider using on the chest, base of skull, behind your ears.

To help manage my stress levels I use these essential oils…

  • Bergamot is unique among citrus oils due to its ability to be both uplifting and calming, making it ideal to help with anxious feelings. During periods of high stress trying diffusing Bergamot.

  • Lavender is widely used for its calming and relaxing qualities and is very versatile. Diffuse or apply topically to pulse points to calm anxiety and soothe emotions

  • Juniper Berry is good for relieving tension and stress. Place a drop in the palms of your hands and inhale.

  • Marjoram is calming for anxiety. Rub topically on the back of neck and on bottoms of feet or diffuse to relieve stress. I also use this to help me sleep at night
