Why visibility matters

“I have to be seen to be believed” is a quote attributed to Queen Elizabeth II, and yet it’s also very relevant for small business owners.

Because one of the most successful ways to market our services, attract an audience and earn more money is to be more visible.

A few years ago, I was approached by an international organisation to work with them, following a presentation I gave at a Women in Engineering conference.

This would never have happened if I’d stayed behind the scenes.

However, I know it can feel daunting to be seen and heard, especially if we’re worried about other people’s opinions and judgements.

For a long time I was more concerned about the reactions of my family, than my friends and colleagues!

So how do you feel about your visibility?

Is it something you struggle with?

Will you join me in letting go of perfectionism, fear, and doubt to be seen and heard?

As Serena Williams said, “Every woman’s success should be an inspiration to another. We’re strongest when we cheer each other on.”

Here are just some of the benefits you’ll experience…

Increased brand awareness: although small businesses typically don’t have large marketing budgets, we can still bring awareness to our products and services, by sharing our story, values, and knowledge in our communities and on-line. It’s a great way to generate word of mouth marketing and to attract new clients.

Trust: By being visible and approachable, you can help build trust and develop relationships with others. This is particularly important for businesses where clients are not just hiring your programme or services, they are hiring YOU.

Being seen as the expert: By sharing your experience and knowledge through speaking engagements, blogs, Podcasts, and other media, you can establish yourself as a sought-after expert in your field.

A growing network of potential partnerships: By attending networking events, participating in industry groups, and engaging with other businesses online, it becomes easier to develop new partnerships or collaborations.

If you’d like support in developing your visibility let’s arrange a time to speak.
