Planning a Values-Based Week

Picture this…. a week where your schedule isn’t just a list of tasks, but each day is purposeful, enjoyable and fulfilling!

This is the power of planning activities around your values.

Recently, I’ve started scheduling my week around my values of health, prosperity, creativity and connection. This means booking my exercise classes in advance, allowing time for photography and aligning actions which will enhance my personal and professional well-being.

There are, of course, other things that I need to do, such as attending meetings, preparing presentations, cooking, cleaning!  But as long as I can allocate time to activities which are important for me, I feel much more inspired and motivated during the week.

But can we make this a reality with so many demands on our time?

It starts with a shift in mindset.

Instead of letting your to-do list dictate your week, let your values take the lead – whether it’s health, growth, connection, or something else.

When scheduling time for networking events, personal development, or quality time with loved ones, you can check in to see if each activity or action aligns with your values.

Some of the benefits include:

~ Increased clarity and purpose as you align your activities, time and energy with what’s important to you.

~ Improved decision making.  Having a set of values to guide your decisions can help you make choices that are consistent with your goals and intentions. And may reduce stress and anxiety about making mistakes.

~ A greater sense of fulfillment. Living according to your values helps contribute to an overall sense of authenticity.

~ Planning and living a values-based week can be a catalyst for personal growth and development. By intentionally living in alignment with your values, you can challenge yourself to step outside your comfort zone, learn new things, and grow as an individual.

I would love to know how you plan your week and what works for you?
