What to do when change happens

Nothing stays the same for ever, but facing change can often be a difficult, confusing and challenging process.

Over the past few years I’ve experienced unexpected losses, bereavements and a few house moves.

It’s never easy but here are some thoughts on how to deal with life’s surprises….

~ You can only control or change yourself. When you put this into practice you’ll create a sense of confidence and self empowerment.

~ Be purposeful. Having a strong purpose or direction in life will act as an important anchor in your life.

~ Use this time for self-reflection and an opportunity to follow any long held dreams or projects. I’ve been focusing on my health and fitness and learning more about photography and social media.

~ Seek out support. When the scale of change is more than you can deal with on your own, seek out others to guide, advise and support you, whether colleagues, friends, family, mentors or coaches.

~ Take responsibility for what you can do to deal with the situation.

~ Two things to help you feel better are exercise and helping others.

~ Have a goal and set your intention to achieve it. My focus is on what I can achieve during Lockdown and how I want to show up post Lockdown.
