Why I’m raising my standards!

Following a recent review of my goals and objectives, I noticed how I was tolerating and settling for certain things in my life.

This ranged from clutter in the house, poor sleep, distractions, negativity, and anxiety!

None of which supports my vision for my life.

However, it made me realise the importance of standards!

As Tony Robbins says, “If you want to change your life you have to raise your standards.”

Standards can play a big part in our success, which is why I’m raising mine!

This includes my nutrition, exercise, habits, environment, beliefs, conversations, as well as my work and income.

Changing or raising standards doesn’t have to be overwhelming.

Small incremental steps work very well.

Knowing what I’m tolerating I can make changes; with a mix of practical action and internal shifts in energy and mindset.

It could be not engaging in certain conversations or content, saying no, letting go or changing habitual thoughts.

As we become clearer on our standards it becomes easier to make decisions and choices which benefit ourselves and our clients.

Here are some areas to consider…

Clients and Income – if you’re not achieving the level of clients and income you want or deserve it may be because you’re not valuing yourself or your services. Tony Robbins tells us, “Your income right now is a result of your standards, it’s not the industry, it’s not the economy. Raise your standards, and you’ll raise your worth”.

Thoughts and beliefs – what we believe about ourselves can keep us from achieving our goals. What thoughts and beliefs are holding you back?

Self-image – our identity and self-image can determine how we feel and the actions we take. If you step into the image of your future self, what decisions would you take, what would you be wearing, what would your environment look like?

Work – if you are a solo business owner, like me, our work is often a reflection of ourselves and how we are feeling about it! Raising standards at work could mean upleveling your personal brand, being consistent, adding more value to services, increasing fees, or sharing more of your qualities and values.

Environment – our environments can shape our thoughts and emotions. One of my values is beauty and I love to spend time in inspiring settings, whether this is nature or a lovely coffee shop. It reinforces my commitment to growth, abundance, and possibilities.

Do you want to join me in raising standards?
