7 ways to grow your business without social media

If you find social media time consuming, with little return on investment, or want to focus on other ways to market and grow your business, here are seven strategies that have worked for me …

  1. Invest in a website that is easy to navigate, helps clients to clearly identify if your product or service is a good match and has great visual images. Optimise your website for search engines (SEO) to improve its visibility. This includes ensuring your website is mobile friendly and is updated regularly with ….

  1. Engaging blogs or journal posts which are helpful and valuable. Guest posting on other blogs or publications can also give you access to a wider audience.

  1. Email marketing. Newsletters can be one of the best ways to stay connected with your audience and to showcase your knowledge and expertise, as well as to share any promotions or offers.  As people are less willing to sign up, today, to email lists, you may need to market your newsletter and offer an incentive to join.

  1. Networking in-person or on-line or joining professional organisations can help raise your visibility. I’ve given talks to networking groups, grown my community, and built personal relationships which have led to business opportunities.

  1. When I started my coaching business, I asked my clients for referrals and offered incentives for successful referrals. Years later I’m still receiving referrals from past happy clients.

  1. Over the years I’ve worked in partnership with other business owners to design and deliver leadership programmes for large organisations. Forming collaborations can help you tap into each other’s skills and networks, much faster than if you are working alone.

  1. And most importantly focus on providing exceptional customer service which will encourage clients to provide positive reviews and to recommend your business.

If you would love to focus on growing your business, with less reliance on social media marketing, let’s have an exploratory conversation to find out what you’d like to achieve and how I can help you.
